Springdale Farm is a super hip urban farm right in the neighborhood. Only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays 9-1, get there early because all the chef's come and get their veggies and eggs for their restaurants first thing. You can tour the farm and there is high end food truck Eden East open during farm stand hours for breakfast.

Described as the place where all the hip kids went when the East Side got "too hip". This place has a ton of interesting live music and nights- worldly music, African music, so different than the rest of the Austin music scene and it knows it. So cool, even the cool kids don't know about it.

This place is always hopping. Tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pool and hosts a variety of well-attended events including Texas Relays (custom car show- April) and #JumpOnIt, a free concert series in the park June-August (with some pretty good name).

Walnut Creek Hike and Bike Trail is Austin's first urban trail. 7.3 miles of paved/gravel pathway perfect for biking, walking, hanging. As of right now, you have to drive to the trailhead but there are plans to make it connect to the house.
