Great little cafe for breakfast and lunch (closes at 2pm). We love the nasi goreng here. Across the road (through the car park veer left) is a great little playground for kids.

Great place to enjoy a coffee and a healthy snack right on Merewether Beach. This is a take away place with some seats right on the promonade overlooking the beach. Good for people watching.

Great place for a walk, picnic or to check out some animals. There are BBQ's for public use some shelters (lthough they can be booked), and lots of places to go for a walk.

Great track which starts at Adamstown and goes through to Belmont (16km) . This is a paved gently graded track which takes in coastal, wetland and bushland environments and is suted for all levels of fitness. This follows the route of a former rail line.

Great walk on the cost just up from Merewether. It is part of a 6km walk from Merewether through to Nobby's Beach the entrance to the harbour.
