I'm an avid runner + the East River is a great place to run. Straight down 10th Street will take you over the FDR + to a beautiful path by the river with stunning views on the Williamslburg Bridge + Brooklyn.

The Highline has become one of the most popular places to see for New York visitors. It's a wonderful old train track overlooking the west side of lower Manhattan, complete with native plants landscaping.

Some of my favorite places in New York are it's parks. This one is not to be missed with it's famous arch. It's an easy spot to hit on the way to Soho for some shopping.

This is an incredibly well-curated consignment store featuring contemporary brands like Rick Owen, Helmut Lang, Acne etc. It's reasonably priced + you're sure to find something you can't live without.

This is a real deal thrift store with items in the single digits. It can be hit or miss, but their selection tends to be on trend. Definitely worth visiting.

I don't know that i would have survived New York without Trader Joe's. The prices are significantly cheaper than anything else in the city, so you can eat well without breaking the bank.
I love the frozen Indian entrees for an easy dinner.

This is another close grocery option. Trader Joe's has a limited selection + most things are their own brand, so if you need something specific, this is likely your closest best bet.

Best of the best. I don't spend much time uptown, but MoMA is worth the trip. While you're there, you might as well visit Central Park.

I also have a membership here :) The Guggenheim only has one exhibit at a time, aside from their small permanent collection, but the space--one of Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpieces--is worth the price of admission.
