Sunbeds placed on the rocks around the beach. Fantastic sea food in Nicolas' restaurant there. You can literally have your table inside the water!

A very long sandy beach. Great for water sports. Water doesn't get deep till tens and tens of meters away from the coast.
Lots of kiosk for food and drinks there too.

Hundreds of meters of beach. Part of it organised, part of it not. Crystal clear water. My 2nd favourite beach after Lachania's :)

Traganou Cave
Very close to Afandou beach, really worthy to visit the cave there.
Fantastic place next to iconic Lindos. Great restaurant there too, Tampakio.

Probably the most iconic village of Rhodes. Ideal to visit anytime of the days as it provides, shops, restaurants, ice cream / crepe shops, bar and clubs. Very popular for its crepes.
Some fantastic restaurants there too (see the restaurant guide for more details). David Gilmour was a regular there, having his own house! Two great beaches to visit too, Lindos Beach and St Paul's bay.
Also an Acropolis to climb, to observe some ancient Greek architecture and fantastic views.
What else can you ask for!? :)

Probably the most iconic village of Rhodes. Ideal to visit anytime of the days as it provides, shops, restaurants, ice cream / crepe shops, bar and clubs. Very popular for its crepes.

One of the most charming destinations on Rhodes, Seven Springs offers a cool, magical landscape, a real oasis, even in the heat of high summer, a charming retreat in the most lavish of Mediterranean greens. Water flows out of the springs all year around, which is forming a small lake. You get to the lake by walking through a narrow 186m-long tunnel. The lake remains replenished thanks to a dam built by the Italians, in order to provide the nearby settlement Kolympia with fresh water.

The lake remains replenished thanks to a dam built by the Italians, in order to provide the nearby settlement Kolympia with fresh water.

The ancient city of Kamiros is well preserved and is built on three levels with on the top of the hill of the Acropolis, a large water storage and a temple dedicated to Athena. In the middle section were the houses where the people lived. These date from the Hellenistic and Roman period. At the bottom of the city you find the Agora (gathering center / big square), a sanctuary and a water source. The city was provided with a sewerage system. At this level alsoa second temple was unearthed which dates back to the Dorian period (3rd century BC).

In the middle section were the houses where the people lived. These date from the Hellenistic and Roman period. At the bottom of the city you find the Agora (gathering center / big square), a sanctuary and a water source. The city was provided with a sewerage system. At this level alsoa second temple was unearthed which dates back to the Dorian period (3rd century BC).
The castle is located near the village of Monolithos at the summit of the tall, craggy rock, dominating the view. It’s a bit far from the main tourist attractions of Rhodes to reach, but it’s totally worth it! You can drive to the foot of the cliff, park your car at a convenient spot, and follow the narrow little steps all the way up until you reach the summit.
In old times, this castle was considered one of the four more powerful fortresses on the island, but today only the external walls fortifications remain. Inside the perimeter of the walls there are two 15th century chapels, St. Panteleimon and St. George. Looking around the ruins it is easy to notice that the castle was actually built on the foundations of another, older castle.
But it’s not for the ruins or even the beautiful whitewashed churches that you would embark on the strenuous climb to the top – it’s the breathtaking view from there that looks over the sea and the numerous islets off the western coast, the mountain of Akramytis and innumerable hills, as well as the village of Monolithos below. As a visitor said: “In Greece, you know, the landscape often gives you a sense of the presence of Gods. The site of Monolithos is certainly one of these”.
