Port Sa'id will probably give you the most 'Israeli' Experience out of all the places in central Tel Aviv, it is located right next to Great Synagogue, and offers a variety of amazing middle-eastern food.
The place tend to get extremely crowded, so expect to be waiting around there for ~15-25 minutes if coming at peak hours.

Puaa is one of the nicest places in one of the busiest corners of the old streets in Jaffa, its probably one of the best in that area to visit if you're doing some sight-seeing around.
