Yes, it does warm up in Milwaukee (sort of) enough to enjoy the beach. A lot of students hang out here playing volleyball, riding bikes, rollerblading and flying kites.

Lake Country
I used to live in Delafield. A great community about 30 minutes west of our house. Beautiful Nagawicka Lake, bike riding, trails.

My Favorite Restaurants
I know being a "foodie" is popular wherever you live, but I bet you can't top the breakfast in Wauwatosa at Blu's Eggs or the crunchy fresh doughnuts at Cranky Als! Sure, we are known for beer and bratwurst in Milwaukee, and don't forget to try our unique frozen custard at Kopps.
The frozen custard is unique to the Milwaukee area. Rich and creamy with tons of goodies. Go to this website to see the "Flavor of the Day." Kopps also has great burgers.

Like real butter? I do! My dog kennel used to be near Solly's and let's just say, I've lost a few pounds since moving away! Fantastic burgers dripping in butter. Wonderful fries too. All the locals dine here. A group of veterans come for coffee on Friday morning if you want to give your respects.

A nice big restaurant tucked away near a residential area on a side street. Worth finding. A fantastic selection of Indian Food from the buffet or off the menu. We usually go with a group, but you will be as comfortable dining alone if you must.

Miss your family? Come on over to Cranky Al's. I took my daughter here every single day when she was in the stroller! Lot's of families on the weekends and other local people during the week. Friendly staff - they might introduce you to a kid or two or a baby if you want to hold one! All the doughnuts are great. My favourite is the cake doughnut with chocolate frosting and peanuts. Cranky also makes great pizza.

New restaurant with exceptional African & Jamaican food. I had the Jerk Chicken and the sauce was very satisfying. It is a woman-owned business - one from Africa, one from Jamaica. Small and quaint surroundings. Nice!
