If headed south away from Nashville, this is one of my favorite bakeries. It used to be considered a tea room back in the day, but it has evolved over the past 30 years.
I always get the chicken amarette which is a scoop of chicken salad, cranberry salad, small pimento sandwich, a couple of slices of poppy seed bread. Their quiches are great, too.
Any dessert will be a good choice. These photos does not give it justice it is so much better.

229 Franklin RdIf headed south away from Nashville, this is one of my favorite bakeries. It used to be considered a tea room back in the day, but it has evolved over the past 30 years.

Historic Points of Interest
A lot of History to this homestead...There is a creek nearby and before Nashville was settled it was an Indian Village and maybe burial ground. At some point, it became mostly plantations several historic homes in the area to visit. During, the civil war the line between North and South moved thru this area during the Battle of Nashville. In the 1920s, it was the home of hole 1 or 9 of the local country club and the trolley ran past to the zoo. It became a residential area post WWII. I have lived here for the past 30 years.
