Fishing is good at the lake. Stocked with walleye and bass, and sometimes trout, the center of the lake is 40 ft deep. Swimming with lifeguards on summer duty, kayaking is great also.

Spend an afternoon at the castle, then hike the premises and/or picnic on the grounds. Great views and vistas from the top to the CT river and valley. Best to call for hours open throughout the season.
