Restaurants
There are several dining options in Talkeetna but they can be quite busy during the peak season. Many places don't take reservations. You may consider take-out or plan to wait.
Also, many of the cooks change from season to season so what's great one year may not be as fabulous the next. I've included a few of the places that seem to have the most consistent food.
The Roadhouse, Denali Brewpub and Conscious Coffee are open year round but check their hours in the winter.
Twister Creek/Denali Brewpub is a great place for a local beer. Generally the food is decent pub fare.

If you want a view that isn't quite as good as from the house but with a place that serves food, this is your best option. This is a hotel restaurant/bar and will be filled with tourists not locals.

It's worth a stop to look around. Great bike related stickers and t-shirts. Also has an on-site coffee shop that makes homemade fudge and a food truck with breakfast sandwiches.

Recommended flightseeing operator. On a clear day, a flightseeing tour into the mountains is priceless. It's worth the extra money to do the glacier landing because it really helps you get a sense of the scale.

Talkeetna has a thriving birch syrup industry. The tour is interesting and they have yummy locally made products as well as ice cream.
