Well this is an old lady, like the beautiful house you stay at! If you want to be in for something real special, reserve a nice table where the beautiful paintings are. Take a drink at the Kronenhalle Bar first - it is going to be memorable.

We love Kaufleuten, fun place, good solid food, has been trendy for ages, Zurich without Kaufleuten is unimaginable - a so called institution! Needs still reservation after all these years, you can see beautiful people and enjoy great dishes. If you want to expand your stay there - there is a club and bar. In summertime even a patio to hang out with great drinks and music. Lot's of culture events and intimate concerts take place there, so check out the website for actualities!

Downstairs you have a deli, with foods from all parts of the world. Not inexpensive but worth a stroll - the main store is much bigger and at the famous Bahnhofstrasse.

Not inexpensive but worth a stroll - the main store is much bigger and at the famous Bahnhofstrasse.
One of my favorites, good for any occasion. You must order the Café de Paris, it is the best not only in town, also in the world - I promise. It's French style, cozy, in the summer with nice patio in small part of the old city, very close to the Bahnhofstrasse. For real, you will always come back, once you try the filet you are hooked!

Watch the stars! The Urania observatory, which opened in 1907, was the first building in Zurich to be made from concrete. It is still one of the most distinctive buildings in the historical Old Town and has been listed as a protected monument since 1989. Whether you want to take a closer look at the craters on the moon, the bands of clouds surrounding Jupiter, or the church tower of the Fraumünster: a guided tour to the non-profit public observatory is always a memorable experience.
