These outdoor mediation gardens at the top of Mt. Washington are stunning, open to the public, and FREE anytime the front gates are open. The views are incredible, and this all denominations Yoga based community is lovely.

Lots of great hiking trails and vistas. You won't believe you're still in LA city limits! If you're visiting in the winter months, do beware that even though the forest is only 30 minutes (or less) from the casita, there may be snow and other extreme weather due to the elevation.

There is a closer location than this, but it's THE busiest Trader Joe's in the US. That's why I love going to this one istead. Getting into the parking lot and parking is WAY easier, not to mention the store is less crowded.

Experience the rides at Pacific Park on the pier, the arcade and lots of restaurants/ food vendors to choose from. Don't miss the incredible views from the carousel. You can even take a trapeze lesson here!
