Food is an important part of culture. Traditional cuisine is passed down from one generation to the next and It also operates as an expression of cultural identity. In Tenerife you can find all kind of food. Immigrants brought the food of their countries with them, like Cuba o Venezuela, but you will
find as well traditional canarian food, as a way of preserving culture. The traditionnal restaurants are called Guachinche :)
