Kid friendly restaurants
The Round Rock area has a ton of awesome restaurants that have playscapes, toys, a relaxed atmosphere, and kid perks (like a kid-sized ice cream) with your meal.
The playscape out back is so fun for the kids: it's shaded, has turf grass, and trees, plus is fenced most of the way around for safety. The kids meals come with a small gelato. The parents get to drink wine and relax. It's the best.

There are several locations of Hat Creek, each with a unique play area. We like the Georgetown and the Domain locations since their play areas are the best, and the Georgetown location has a beautiful view of the San Gabriel river - after you eat you can go splash around in the blue hole!

The University Oaks location of Mighty Fine is in a group of restaurants including Chipotle, Which Wich, & Tarka Indian, so everyone can get what they want and then go eat and play on the spacious, fenced in eating/play area.

Free Outdoor Family Fun
Here are some of our family's favorite outings around Round Rock, especially some of the more off-the-beaten-path places.
This park along Brushy Creek Regional Trail has a dinosaur theme. All the play structures are shaped like dinosaurs, and the large sand pit with a shade sail has "dinosaur bones" for the kids to dig around. The bathrooms are well maintained. We often like to venture down and splash in the creek, too.

They also have art stalls set up on the square every Second Saturday of the month.
