Beau Séjour means "pleasant stay". It was an old farmhouse from the 19th century and summer home of noble people and a kind of museum, where elements of the so-called Lion Group stand out, especially a stucco/fountain made of stucco and faience with Portuguese flora and fauna. Work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. It is also the home of the Office of Olisiponenses Studies and some species of ducks.

When it was built in the eighteenth century, Benfica was not yet Lisbon. This only came to pass a century later. What explains the kilometer mark that it finds next to the fountain and that reads "Lisbon 8 km".

A small forest planted in 1880 by João Carlos Ulrich with the aim of beautifying his Feiteira Palace, now called Parque Silva Porto, or Mata de Benfica. It is located in Benfica, more precisely in the Santa Cruz neighborhood. It is worth the visit, not only for the quality of what is sold here but also for the service of Sérgio and Rita Solposto. This is the incredible name of the family that got into the business a generation ago. In the store, you'll find boxes of traditional Portuguese biscuits, the invincible lemon biscuits, nuts, figs from the Algarve, liqueurs, delicious sweets, gourmet food and everything organized to the millimeter!

Geographic and emotional reference of the neighborhood. The seafood is the highlight, and the shoe rack is definitely worth the visit. Fresh and impeccably arranged, it deserves the fame it has. Very good also the mussel to the Spanish with a very good sauce. Tasty and well-made flounder fish soup.

If somehow you can not go to Belém, you will be very well served in this bakery. The pastels of cream that give the name to this house born in 1973, are not behind the famous pastels of Belém. And here, you have the advantage of being attended more quickly! This sweet and crunchy pasties cost 95 cents, and are a real treat!

Benfica is still one of those neighborhoods where you can (and should) say good morning to the neighbor who is at the window. From reputed breweries to seafood restaurants, to fish and steak restaurants, there are fine restaurants in Benfica to get away from the city center, trendy places, and endless queues.
