Faehlmanni kohvik - just 2 min walk from our home - is our new lunch and breakfast favourite. The staff is friendly, food great and I love their cappuccino. Try their avocado bread with poached egg for breakfast, and you will be back for lunch and dinner :-)

Our long time favourite is Salt. This is a fabulous little bistro, and when I say little, I mean little. The menu is short, but it has a little bit of everything, inspired by the owner’s extensive world travels. Try their seafood, including but not limited to octopus, scallops and tiger prawns.

Radio is a brand-new restaurant just 100m from the apartment. Get a table in front of their open kitchen and go for the Chef’s surprise menu! Radio has its own wine bar and sommelier, so do not hesitate to ask for matching wine with food.

Dereku Burger just across the road from the apartment offers the best burgers in Tallinn, as our Finnish-American tenants keep telling us. Canadian-born Derek started his burger business in Saaremaa over 10 years ago with only one burger on the menu, namely Dereku Originaal. Try it together with a good local craft beer!

Even though we normally try to avoid hotel restaurants, the Able Butcher in Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel is worth a visit! Enjoy their finest cuts of meat and masterfully prepared high-quality stakes. Additionally, the restaurant has a big terrace that seats up to 70 people and overlooks Tallinn. A great place for an afternoon drink!

Telemaja Kohvik in the TV building next door is like going back in time. It has been a popular lunch spot among locals for its cheap home-made food. The decor is outdated, to say the least ... but could be a cool trip back in time in the legendary TV building.

Lounge 24 in Radisson Blu Sky Hotel is our absolute favourite for a sunset drink. It is just 10 minute walk from the apartment and the views are amazing over the sea and the Old Town. Be early and take your time, the service is not the fastest in this place, but the views are worth the trip!

There is something romantic in strolling the streets of Kadriorg, having a coffee here and a lunch there, taking a walk in the park and to the seaside, and booking a table in the neighbourhood restaurant, which happens to be one of the best in Tallinn. And all that time you are just 15 minute walk from the busy Old Town.
Kadriorg Park is without a doubt the best place in town for relaxed strolling, a family picnic or going for a run. Kadriorg is also home to the KUMU Art Museum, the historical Kadriorg Palace and the Presidential Palace, the President’s official home and offices. A little further from Kadriorg Park are the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, where 100,000 Estonians gather every 5 years to sing together. Last Song Festival took place on 6-7 July 2019, and we were also singing there :-)
