Nice break from cooking at home. Typical Americanized Mexican food. My favorite is veggie fajitas with a margarita. These guys worked really hard to stay open during the pandemic and we are so grateful!!

Family Fun

We LOVE this place!!! Incredible for kids and All ages. Make sure to ask to see the “Walker House” and the train room. Tells the history of Reedville. Amazing place to take kids on 4th of July (boat making, pie eating, egg toss, etc). Fun for kids anyday. There is an entire building of electric model trains! Certain Friday’s there are free afternoon bot rides.

Heathsville is nearby and has lots of interesting history (eg. 3 of the first 5 presidents were born there). They have a farmers market and some historic tours and displays.

We LOVED this trip! But… then again we love anything that involves boats. The boat itself is very nice …. Think British double decker bus at sea. First floor has AC. Second floor is open air. Even if you arrive minutes before departure you will find a comfortable seat. However, if you go early you will have lots of choices of comfortable seats. The island is absolutely fascinating. Locals have Cornish accents mixed with Deep South. Great read, “Chesapeake Requiem,” is new book out that tells all about Tangier. Fascinating, heartbreaking and heart warming. Don’t miss the one and only local grocery store. Be sure to take golf cart tour. Bring cash for tipping. Also, don’t miss the museum… need cash or credit card. My 7 yr old wanted to go again the next day. We met a family on the boat who swam at a beach on Tangier. We want to do that next time. Not sure how it was arranged. Also, just as a fun note: you can rent the whole boat for an hourly rate and have them drive great Wicomico for sunset tour. We did it for our wedding reception! With disco on top floor!

Park

This place is AMAZING!!! Great beach for walking. Even with super high tide, there is always a beach at Hughlett point. Amazing bird life .
Eventho we live on the river and have plenty of places to walk, it is nice to see somewhere new and to take a longer beach walk.
