The BEST thai food! Casual place with really delicious and reasonably priced food. Worth a 12 minute drive from the house to Portlands Mississippi District. Directly across from Mississippi Studios music venue.

The Old Spaghetti Factory on SW Bancroft is super kid friendly, and located on the riverfront if you'd like an easy family dinner with a view (you can call for a reservation by the window, or for a seat on the trolley, no view from the trolley, but my kids love to sit there) about 12 minutes drive from the house. The OHSU tram is also a few blocks from the restaurant, in case a ride on the tram is on your list of things to do.
