Good atmosphere, good food, good coffee and good smoothies. Lemonade and fruit drinks are a bit on the sweeter side. Only place in Bishkek with a bagel on the menu. (It’s okay, but I’m biased because I’m from New York).

The crown jewel of Kyrgyzstan. National cafe that has been open since 1991. Everything is always cooked from scratch. It’s always packed and ridiculously cheap. Just walk in, find an empty seat and sit down. Everything on the menu is great. Order “Lagman”. It’s a beef, noodle dish. An absolute must.

Amazing Georgian food. Full of tourists, foreigners and locals alike. Food is reasonably priced with a good local wine list. Really unique decor. Good atmosphere.

Best kebabs in the city but on the complete opposite side of town. Plus you won’t find this place on trip advisor. Purely a locals only spot but they’re super friendly. Also has a kids playground on the inside should that interest you. Beef and lamb shashliki are our favorite. There is a big plastic model kebab outside when you walk in. You can type into 2GIS Shashlychnik and it’ll give you directions.

Nasha Marka is a bakery, serving daily fresh pastries of all different varieties. This is a popular breakfast location but you can get lunch or a light dinner there as well. There is a bunch of them throughout the city but the one pictured has a kitchen as well. Get the croissant with strawberry jam. Get there early as a lot of the good stuff is sold out by noon.

Newly remodeled. Great food, great service, and awesome atmosphere. Try the meat dishes. Highly recommend.

Actual Japanese owner who knows some Russian. Sushi is really really good. A bit on the pricy side. Plenty of people from the Japanese Embassy come to hang out. Highly recommend.

Sightseeing
One of the biggest bazaars in central Asia. The freshest fruit, meats, produce. Go here for your clothing, souvenirs and basically anything that’s not furniture. Be advised this place is huge and a mad house. Constantly packed with people. The fruit alone is amazing.

It’s a nice walk through the heart of the city. The mall itself is a bit in the higher end with stores being a bit more “upscale”.

The historical Ala Too Square which hosts the State History Museum right behind it. Personally we like walking at Philharmonic square better, but this is a close second. Checkout the lights at night :)

Supara has two location in Bishkek. One an hour drive in the mountains and one a half hour drive. Both are national “centers” which feature national food, (try the horse ) national buildings and a place to walk around. Think of them like visitor centers except locals go there to get fresh air.
