Kaiserhaus is temporarily closed. It was a tiny place with a great European menu (take out as well) schnitzel, soups, salads, Hungarian goulash, Warm pretzels, potato latkes. Looking forward to when they reopen! Will post updates when it does.

Niagara Glen Nature Reserve is located near the Niagara Whirlpool along the Niagara Gorge. It is one of the best preserved examples of Southern Ontario's original Carolinian forest. The park features overlooks of the whirlpool and gorge as well as several hiking trails through the forest. The nature reserve protects a pristine area of the Niagara Escarpment. Open to the public daily.

Ball’s Falls has been maintained to its early mid 19th century industrial hamlet atmosphere featuring the original Ball family home, an operating flour mill, a lime kiln, a church, black smith shop, and carriage shed.
About a 17 minute drive from the cottage.

Head to the platform for a great view of the ships making their way up the canal through the locks. Museum is fantastic. Learn about the building of the locks and about the Underground Railway. Harriet Tubman lived in St Catharines while helping those make their way to freedom in Canada. The Lacrosse Hall of Fame is here and is really interesting as well. History of the game and you can try your hand at playing as well.
The museum is FREE but please leave a donation!
