This little gem is tucked just off the Costanera and serves delicious pizzas and pasta dishes. Great if you want to dine on their open air terrace, or order take out and enjoy in the comfort of your beautiful condo at Makara - just minutes away.

This is my go-to for breakfast (and the key work being fast - which can be hard to find in the beach areas of Costa Rica). Simple local cuisine at a great price - and next door to the grocery store and ATM - great one stop shop!

Usually the hopping spot on a Friday night with an excellent jungle gar scene right on the water. Mike, the owner is amazing and they have some amazing food as well!

This is another great local hang in Dominical, just about 15 minutes north of Makara. Great music, dancing and people watching - and amazing tropical cocktails as well. They also offer full dining menu.

This place is stunning and location to the famous Whales Tail land formation. Small park entrance fee but well worth it (like $5 USD). Fun fact; its the location of the largest number of Hump Back whales who come to spawn every October.
