Beautiful, serene, rainforest setting. An amazing experience being guided down the river with your own personal guide, on a hand made bamboo raft. The guides are also carvers whom will show you some samples of their crafts. Your craft can also be personalized with your name and or date.

Neighbourhoods

Negril is a quaint small town set on the extreme western tip of Jamaica, hence why we are blessed with stunning sunsets. There are only 3 main roads in Negril. The beach road or Norman Manley Blvd is the coastal road which you travel along from one end of the beach to the other. One Love Drive or “ Westend” as locals call it is the cliff road which takes you to Ricks Cafe and beyond. Nonpareil Rd is heading inland towards the country. You cannot get lost in Negril if you stick to the main roads.

Manières d'économiser

Do not book tours in advance.

Part of my services include arrangements for local tours and adventures. I prefer that my guests travel about with my trusted reliable safe driver. I cannot guarantee the quality of your guide, nor their vehicle or proper insurance coverage if guests choose to make their own arrangements. Additionally I am able to save you money on these excursions by working with local contacts or procuring a reasonable price per person with my driver.

Patois ( the local language)

Some folks are able to pick up and understand the chat amongst local Jamaicans , to others it is mystifying! Patois is a mix of languages including English, Spanish and some French words however most words are shortened from their original form ( ie pineapple is shortened to “ pine” ) Some expressions to take note of are “Whaagwan ”. This means What is going on ? “Every ting Irie? “ This means Is everything good ? “ Nuff Respect “. This means the person whom is saying this to you feels respected and treated kindly by you.
