At the top of Mount Lemmon is a tiny town named Summerhaven. This is a great day trip to do, whether you just enjoy the drive to the top (about 45 minutes) or if you love hiking and exploring. October fest in Mount Lemmon is a MUST do!

Nightfall in October is a MUST for the adventure seeker. This is a very scary haunted town. Younger children may not want to visit during nightfall.

Winterhaven is a very popular neighborhood that does Christmas lights on every home. You can walk through it or purchase a tour ride through it. Highly recommended for families with children.

Experienced Hiker
This is a great place to explore and hike for the experienced hiker. This is in a canyon and so you must practice safety. You MUST check the weather! If there is a storm on the other side of the mountain, DO NOT hike as it will cause flash floods.
If you come at the right time of year there is a waterfall that many people like to play in. Beware there is a nude beach at the very top. However it is not easily accessible.

Great sight seeing trails. Beginner trails and advanced. My favorite hike to Seven Falls on the Bear Canyon trail.
