Amazing medieval town with famous bridge painted by Monet.
Medieval town destroyed by an earthquake in 1887. Totally abandoned for decades, it began to be inhabited from the late fifties of the twentieth century by Italian and foreign artists, attracted by the peculiarity of the place, which restored and made the less damaged buildings habitable again. It currently houses an international community of artists, with craft shops and some refreshment points, so much so as to have become, over the years, a characteristic "village of artists" in a setting of a medieval village.
