If you miss the 60's, Tie Dye and dreadlocks.... this is the place !! Open on Tuesdays between 8:00 - 12:00 it is a real trip with real organic fruits and vegetables (being sold by the actual growers). The menu recently took a turn towards Asia. The owner is European and knows how to run a "high end" restaurant. If you are planning a "Big Night Out" this is a good choice

Conseils aux voyageurs

Se déplacer dans les environs

Renting a car is a good idea! BOOK IN ADVANCE

When you rent a car we suggest you rent from Alamo, National, or Enterprise. They have convenient locations near the airports and are represented LOCALLY out of one office just 5 Minutes from the Villa in Uvita.
À ne pas manquer

Farmers Market in Uvita is a must!

The best fruits, vegetables, and lots more! Take a right (if you are heading South) before Maracuyo Restaurant on Saturday mornings.
Coutumes et culture

Pura Vida

If you ever have a problem with a Costa Rican due to what you consider poor service....NEVER......raise your voice. They will immediately shut down and will not attempt to resolve the situation. The best approach is to let them know you are unhappy and discuss what it will take to resolve the problem.
Que faut-il apporter ?

Sport Sandals are a great idea

Hot weather here is VERY overstated. Typically the temp YEAR ROUND hovers around 86-87 degrees with a light breeze so shorts and T-shirts make the most sense. If you are planning on doing any adventure activities a sport sandal is a great idea. I am not talking about a pair of flip flops.......try spending a few bucks and get something sturdy with some support. In general, the country is very casual so the expectation of getting dressed up at all is pretty much applicable to evening activities and is still not very common.
Que faut-il apporter ?

Casual and comfortable is pretty much the rule

When you pack for the Southern Pacific Zone..consider... shorts/Skirt and light shirts....pack a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and bug spray..leave your loafers and button-down shirts (and Gucci bags) at home! During the rainy season bring a light raincoat! I still have not figured it out but in the 7 years I have lived here ....biting insects are NOT very common here. Some guests disagree but in general, they are not a problem.
