Some of the most famous Fish and Chips in St. John's. Although not my personal favourite (check out the Duke of Duckworth, or Chafe's Landing if you have a vehicle!) they are commonly recommended and very central.

Excellent beer selection and fantastic food. Managed by Jeremy Charles, one of Canada's top chefs. Jeremy runs both Merchant Tavern (cheaper fare) and Raymond's (formal dining) and both are exceptional.

Great cafe with excellent coffee, sandwiches, and baked goods. Lots of locals hanging out, playing music, and enjoying the atmosphere. A must-visit when exploring downtown!

One of my favourite spots in the city. Try some local beer, brewed in historical Quidi Vidi Village. A fan-favourite is the Iceberg beer, actually made with water from Icebergs that float past the city every year. Friday night Kitchen Parties are worth taking in!

Noted for the plethora of bars and pubs, George Street boasts the highest number of bars per square foot in North America. On any given night George Street will be bustling with live music and inebriated locals. The street is pedestrian traffic only, and cabs can easily be called at the West End.
Don't confuse with George Street West. While near by, George Street West is just a regular street with residential.

New Brewery opened in the Summer of 2019. Great atmosphere, wonderful patio in the summer months, and tasty beer. Watch out - the Double IPA is delicious but dangerous!

The "Eiffel Tower" of St. John's. Our most iconic landmark is a prevalent sight around the City. Hikes up and around the Hill are fantastic for views of both the Ocean and the urban area.

Beautiful Basilica perched atop the city and overlooking the harbour. Construction lasted from 1839 to 1855, and at the time was the largest construction project in the history of Newfoundland.
