Pass on Starbucks and go see Avery, yes, he's the owner who is Jamaican so all his dishes are named for all the famous spots: Montego Bay, Dunns River Falls etc... his wife Linda is also so hospitable. The espresso drinks rock! The cafe location is just 4 miles from the house and in a pretty awesome commercial center. Next to ProCyclery, Tropical Smoothie, POWER Yoga/Pilates/Fitness, Orange Theory, Regal Cinema's and tons of low key and yummy restaurants.

It's an outdoor shopping center. TruFusion offers Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and bootcamps. Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, movie theater and fun stuff for kids too. All the essential shops and some fun ones too, without having drive to the strip and fight the tourists at the cashier.

1980 Festival Plaza DrIt's an outdoor shopping center. TruFusion offers Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and bootcamps. Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, movie theater and fun stuff for kids too. All the essential shops and some fun ones too, without having drive to the strip and fight the tourists at the cashier.
Summerlin residents and westside locals like the Tivoli village. Dine at one of their restaurants, Get spruced up at their posh Hair Salon, there's plenty of shopping, David Barton Gym (they accept ClassPass), it's very posh and easy to get in and out of. Around Winter time, they have the Santa's North Pole experience where you take your kids to meet a very very real looking Santa and his helpers.

Can you believe our house is so close to Costco? Remember there's a food court and gas station there too!

Parks & Nature
Do you have kids? Need a place for them to release some energy? Although the little playground in front of our house will keep them happy while you are grilling some food, it's not quite as sprawling as the Vistas Park. The pool during Spring/Summer allows guests to come in for $5, open 9am - 8pm has a slide and splash pool for the infants. The park will keep your kids happy for hours. Basketball courts, fields and tennis courts.

Hiking, Rock Climbing, Road Biking, Mountain Biking or just a scenic drive. Please take the time to at least drive through the 13 mile loop. It's breath taking! And one of the big draws of the west side.

Do you want to be amongst some hipsters? Head to downtown Summerlin and hang at this gastropub. They have other installations in LA, Public School 213, Public School 818, etc.. but you won't have the insane crowds. It's very chill, grab an IPA and order sliders, it's a great way to wind down.

Have immunization records handy (not required for out-of-state) and bring socks. T-Bones steak house is as good as any on the strip! Their buffet is pretty darn good for the value.

Las Vegas' attempt at eclectic art and culture. They are making a movement to clean up the Downtown area without gentrifying it and they are doing a great job. I know a lot of locals and tourists alike who enjoy visiting Container park. Romantic for couples, and entertaining for kids. I've been to several photoshoots down there so it's a great stop for your Instagram shots.
