Painter Rembrandt lived and worked in this house between 1639 and 1656. Now, the building is used as an art museum. You definitely can’t leave Amsterdam without visiting this museum!

I recomment Eye Filmuseum because of 1. watching the architecture, 2. the nice view and skyline, 3. having diner (!!) and 4. watching one of the nice movies in their beautiful cinemas.

De Parade is a theatre festival I visit since when I was a child. Every year in july or august the festival settles at the Martin Luther King Park. You can see theatre shows and have some nice diner.

My favorite theatre in Amsterdam is Bellevue. A black box theatre with a great program. And the well known theatre café ‘The Smoeshaan’ is located next door.

Fortunately, there is also a cinema in my own neighbourhood, cause The Movies takes always halve an hour to go to. Studio/K is a club, café, restaurant and cinema. It is run by students.

Now and then, I like to go to Monnickendam by bike. In about 15 minutes I escape the busy city and arrive in the beautiful Waterland. I simply follow the route on the route signs.

If it’s sunny outside, I definitely reccoment to rent a boat and see the canals of Amsterdam. You get a total different sight on Amsterdam.

I think those two parks are the hippest in Amsterdam. During summertime, both parks are very crowdy. You’ll see a lot of people barbecuing. So, there is a lot of conviviality!

De Haarlemmerstraat is quite a posh street with the hippest kitchenstores, specialty shops and boutiques. Don't foget to look upwards, because of the beautiful houses at the Haarlemmerdijk!
