Easiest way is to rent a car. Also rent a bike, or walk!
Lots of options within walking distance. Most people either drive in (with their own car) or rent a car, there is a car rental at the airport and another car rental (Enterprise) within walking distance on Front Beach Rd. Street-legal golf carts can also be rented nearby to go around town, but are not allowed in the Gulf Highlands complex.

Stay in! Cook meals at home to save money.
Take advantage of the 11 pools within the complex, or the beautiful white sandy beaches.
Also nearby is a state park (St. Andrew's) which has a small fee but is great for outdoor lovers.
