Don't be deceived by the no-frills exterior. This Central American restaurant serves up the most authentic pupusas in all of Nashville, has super reasonable prices and no wait to get in. The fajitas and tacos are fantastic but I always go for the ceviche.

Parks and Recreation

Whether you are looking for a peaceful walk, a jog along a nature trail or a glimpse into the agricultural history of Nashville, this nearby location offers it all - FREE of charge. In the spring the iris gardens are amazing and the display of the Tennessee state flower here is unparalleled. The summer gardens reveal how crops were harmoniously cultivated during the pioneer days. The Tennessee Agricultural Museum is located here and is open year round and has FREE admission. Personally, I love jogging the trails around the ag center because it's close to home, offers a bit of nature and has just enough hills to keep my glutes in check but not miserable.

My favorite museums

Head here to slow down and stroll through beautiful botanical gardens and an art museum. I love the sculpture trail the most; I'm a big fan of the artist James Turrell and Nashville is lucky enough to have one of his pieces here. Be sure to go have a seat in it and look towards the sky. Cheekwood usually closes at 5:00pm but in the summer look for fun events coupled with extended hours.
