Anasco, is a West Coast town that was founded on October 18, 1733. It was named after Don Luis de Añasco, a colonist from the Extremadura region of Spain who came to Puerto Rico with Juan Ponce de León. It was nicknamed the place where the "Gods go to die." La Playa is a very small town where the Beaches feel uninhabited and unspoiled with some of the most beautiful Sunsets you will ever experience. The Tres Hermanos Beach is famously known for the LeatherBack Sea Turtles that lay their eggs on our sandy beaches. The endangered species are protected by Natural Resources while nesting and after they hatch and make their way back to the sea. Tres Hermanos beach is a very tranquil beach where you can walk for miles in either direction and hunt for seashells and seaglass. You can also watch the local fisherman bring in the catch of the day as well as fresh lobster which you can purchase.
