This restaurant is on the forefront of the Tucson foodie scene and is the hip place to get breakfast or brunch any day of the week. And the best part is it is off Campbell Ave- just a few blocks away! Their bloody mary is my favorite, paired with a local beer backer. Be sure to get there early though - especially if you are going on the weekend -as this place can have a long wait at times. Pro tip: Put yourself on the waitlist via the Yelp app before heading over.

The flagship location of this local favorite is off of the Campbell Ave shopping corridor and offers artisan breads, sandwiches and breakfast. Their lattes are also excellent and the cinnamon buns are humongous!

Just a few blocks north from the casita on Campbell Ave is where you’ll find Casa Molina. It offers good Mexican cuisine and a truly southwestern environment. Munch on some guacamole and carne asada beneath a saguaro rib ceiling and wash it down with a cold margarita- mmm I think I’ll go now.

You haven’t had the Tucson experience until you have tried a Sonoran Dog. As an essential part of every T- Loc’s diet I had to include BK on the list. They are close to the casita and have one of the top dogs in town (and ice cold beer too). They also have a drive thru if you prefer as well.

Get up close with all of the wildlife that share our desert home. Offering daily raptor flights (seasonal), mountain lions, big horn sheep, desert tortoises, a stingray touch pool and lobos (Mexican wolves). This is more of a zoo than a museum with fine dining, beautiful landscapes and gardens and even the packrat playhouse for the kiddos. During the summer months beat the heat with a prickly pear margarita on Saturday evenings at their cool summer nights events.

It is about an hour outside of town, but it is a one of a kind sight and worth the drive.
