This quaint little coffee shop is run by the friendly Aussies and I think it's neat that they have semi-secret barber shop tucked in the back of the cafe. I recommend the flat white made with almond milk.

Argentinian steak house located just steps off the Bedford L train (exit the train from the Driggs side). Known for their grass fed entrana, churassaco and avocado fries. Very intimate and romantic atmosphere, but it can get very busy on the weekends, so get there early to put your name on the list and don't show up too hungry!

The largest Italian market in the world, feature a collection of restaurants, a fishmonger and butcher (and vegetable butcher), an espresso bar, a wine store, a cheese store, a cooking school, a kitchenware department and much more. One of my all-time favorite places to eat in the city. I'm there at least once a week but usually more. Moroccan-inspired tagines, hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli and daily specials. Founded in 1983, the cuisine is known for being consistent, fresh and always delicious. If you're going for brunch get there early to put your name on the list, there's always a wait but it's worth it.

The New York Times describes this Vietnamese cafe as "fast-casual Asian fusion" with . . . "tables created by a skateboard-park designer, an ancient wood-carved door, an Asian-pop mural, and a Jurassic Park–themed restroom." Definitely a must-see for the neighborhood. My fav items are the vegan pho and ginger brussel sprouts.

Coney Island claims it's the birthplace of the hotdog. It's a neighborhood on the southernmost point of Brooklyn. They have an amusement area along the water with more than 50 rides and attractions, including the new "Thunderbolt." You can stroll the beach any time of year but the rides and attractions are generally open weekends from Easter until Memorial Day, all week long from Memorial Day until Labor Day, and then weekends from Labor Day until the end of October. I've spent many summer days strolling the boardwalk at Coney Island.

Times Square is where you'll find Broadway shows like Hamilton, School of Rock, Wicked and Phantom of the Opera. Even if you don't have tickets to see a show, it's worth a visit just to see the big billboards and marquees at least once. Get that selfie! But plan to eat in a different neighborhood before you get there because the prices are gauged way too high in order to take advantage of the large numbers of tourists who might not know any better.

While SoHo has historically been known as an artist enclave with a variety of lofts and galleries, it's transformed over the years to be a hotspot for shopping. Here you'll find your favorite chain stores like H&M, Topshop, Zara, Mango, Free People, Coach, Agent Provocateur, Rag & Bone, and the like, along with upscale and local boutiques. When artists started getting priced out of Manhattan, may of them went to Williamsburg which has lent to it's reputation of being a hipster haven. But as history would have it, Williamsburg has gotten high-end too, but it's still got a creative vibe and remains one of my all-time favorite neighborhoods. Many of the restaurants here are fueled by young artist types who are passionate about they do. There's also tons of shopping, live music, cinema and other entertainment.
