Local beaches are just 300 steps from the condo you stay. You can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, surfing, and other beach activities all day around. In a morning, you will be lucky watching dolphins who are playing very close to the beach. Our local beaches are the perfect place for relaxation as they are located in a residential area, free from the crowds that high rise hotels may bring. The beach can be completely your own escape. Make sure to pack your own beach gear including beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas to ensure the perfect beach day!

St Andrews State Park provides a wide variety of daily activities • Wildlife watching • Hiking and Bicycling • Swimming and Surfing • Snorkeling and Scuba Diving • Boating and Paddling • Boat tours • Fishing • Camping and Picnicking For visitors with children, the “kiddie pool” lagoon offers a great saltwater swimming area with clear, shallow water The Gator Lake Trail and Overlook provide visitors with a beautiful vantage point for spotting alligators and a variety of waterfowl, wading birds and other small animals. At Button Bush Marsh Overlook, a host of birds can be viewed. Herons and ibis feed along the fertile marsh edge as a variety of waterfowl swim and feed in the depths. Throughout the interior of the park you will see raccoons and white tail deer. And besides other amazing places, save some time to visit a fisherman pier.

Take the ferry or paddle to Shell Island during spring and summer to experience a completely secluded and undeveloped slice of The Real Florida. Boardwalks provide easy access to the mainland beaches while keeping the delicate dune ecosystem intact. A favorite spot for locals and visitors alike, Shell Island is an approximately 7-mile long undeveloped barrier island running east to west between the Gulf of Mexico and the St. Andrew Bay. Here you'll find Florida at its most natural, where graceful sand dunes, coastal scrub forest, pine hammocks, and an inland lake provide the perfect home for deer, nesting shorebirds, and all manner of coastal creatures, including ghost crabs and endangered species such as Choctawhatchee Beach Mice, piping plovers, snowy plovers, and loggerhead and green sea turtles. Waterpark Attractions and Rides • Ocean Motion Wave Pool Ocean Motion Wave Pool is a 500,000-gallon pool that generates three foot waves every ten minutes • White Knuckle River White Knuckle River is a 660-foot long twisting, winding inner tube ride that features tubes large enough for the entire family to splash down in • Tree Top Drop Tree Top Drop is actually two slides coming off of a 65-foot tall platform. One slide is a dark tube that drops onto a free fall slide that sends sliders down a rapid drop slide. The other choice is the Tree Top Drop enclosed twisting tube slide. Height restriction of 48 inches. • The Pirate’s Plunge Racing Slide The Pirate’s Plunge Racing Slide is actually dueling slides side by side from a 60-foot tall tower. Riders can challenge their own nerves or other riders • The Raging Rapids The Raging Rapids is totally unique to Shipwreck. The Rapids is a white water inner tube ride with a breathtaking start and finish. Height restriction of 48 inches. • The Zoom Flume The Zoom Flume is three weaving, turning lanes of the mat slide • The Great Shipwreck The Great Shipwreck is a replica of a 17th century sailing ship. Guests swing out from the ship on a cable and drop into a beautiful azure blue lagoon deep water pool. • The Lazy River This is over 2,000 feet of a slow moving river that provides the park’s most relaxing aquatic encounter. • Skull Island Skull Island is a family activity pool that has a kiddy and a family racing slides. Duration of experience is about a half hour. Careful reviewing of Rules and Requirements, as well as booking in advance is recommended.
