Boca de Tomatlan is the gateway to all of Puerto Vallarta's virgin beaches. These amazing beaches are not accessible by car, so you go to Boca to catch the water taxi or charter a small Panga boat to take you an a day trip snorkeling and to all these amazing beaches. Highly recommended!! You will not be disappointed.

Boca de Tomatlan is the gateway to all of Puerto Vallarta's virgin beaches. These amazing beaches are not accessible by car, so you go to Boca to catch the water taxi or charter a small Panga boat to take you an a day trip snorkeling and to all these amazing beaches. Highly recommended!! You will not be disappointed.
My favorite virgin beach located on the south shore or Puerto Vallarta. It is only accessible by boat or hiking through the mountains. No restaurants are available so make sure you take some snacks and your beer!!

The farthest beach to access but one of the most precious gems. It is only accessible by boat or hiking through the mountains. There is a beautiful waterfall that you can hike to and some great beachside restaurants (Domingos Restaurante is good). This is actually a small town so you will find a variety of activities and shop even lodging is available.

The farthest beach to access but one of the most precious gems. It is only accessible by boat or hiking through the mountains. There is a beautiful waterfall that you can hike to and some great beachside restaurants (Domingos Restaurante is good). This is actually a small town so you will find a variety of activities and shop even lodging is available.
Playa Destiladeras is way on the other side of the bay but it is well worth the trip. Spend a whole day here.

Want to explore a cute little town in the mountains with great weather? Visit one of my favorites San Sebastian. It a 1.5 hr drive from Vallarta but well worth it. Try there famous coffee and see the view of Vallarta from their famous high peak La Bufa.
