Absolutely amazing German/Bavarian Indoor Biergarten. Great outdoors seating when the weather is nice and lovely indoors too. If important games are on (i.e. World Cup) the place transforms into a soccer heaven. Food is great too.

Kafana is a Yugoslavian delight. The food is wonderful, the people are fantastic, the Rakiya is mighty good, and Friday nights the band will make time stop and transport you into an Emir Kusturica film.

Best solid consistently good food for decades. Cafe Mogador serves great quality food by a great staff in a great location. Outdoor seating available, and you can be very quickly seated. Don't miss paying Mogador a visit (it's a truly lovely authentic place).

This sandwich shop is a huge delight. All of their sandwiches are great. My best friend thinks they have the best baguette in all of NYC--he might be right. My personal fav is the French Picnic--I pick it up and eat it on a bench at Tompkins Square Park. Their award winning breakfast egg sandwich is pretty wonderful too--you will not be hungry after that.
