There is an entry fee. To help reduce vehicle wait times at Warren Dunes State Park, a daily non-Michigan-registered Recreation Passport can be purchased in advance. Warren Dunes State Park provides 1,952 acres of recreational opportunities along the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan. Its rugged dune formation, rising 260 feet above the lake, offers spectacular views and is excellent for hang gliding (permit is required). The park is home to 3 miles of shoreline, 6 miles of hiking trails and two popular campgrounds.

Other items include: local honey, salsa (we recommend the Peach Salsa), various berry and vegetable drinks (we recommend the bloody mary mix).

Traveling this 2 and 4 lane highway will connect you from New Buffalo to Sawyer. Along the way you can visit many antique shops, fruit markets, eatery, retail shops and beaches.

Things to bring to the beach. Comfortable shoes, baby powder for getting the sand off, beach chairs, (beach towels are provided), Sun screen, and small cooler. Beach balls or play toys. Hat for the sun.

Town Line Beach and Cherry beach both have steep stairs and may not be suitable for a long day at the beach with the Kiddos. A nice after dinner walk to watch the sunset...perfect.
New Buffalo beach has been named one of the Top 10 family friendly beaches. There is a fee for the day to park.
Warren Dunes Beach is also a family friendly beach with very nice restroom facilities. There is a fee for the day to enter.
