Chilling option in Sosua

'Endless' sands, surrounded by cliffs, gentler seas for paddling/swimming, sunbeds and beach umbrellas for hire - a few local traders - restaurants with amazing views on the clifftops but a perfect beach to chill/watch the waves, boats go by and stunning sunsets.

Whether you Kite or not Kite Beach is an amazing place to visit! Alongside Cabarete Beach....

Again speaks for itself - experienced kiter looking for a perfect bay/winds or a beginner whose always wanted to fly free.......this is your place!!! A couple of restaurants/hotels but it's for Kiters - bring your own, hire and for wanna-be-free-flyers plenty of kite schools. For the super-serious Kite Beach hosts International Competitions.............perfect! For spectators - a must see!!! A few metres away is Cabarete Beach - check it out! Loads of restautants and great views of Kite Beach.

Nearby - Exploring National Park, Historic Caves, Gri Gri Lagoon, Riding and More......

Eco-travellers will love the area - before entering you have the Cabarete Caves and lagoon - visit the CC for an outstanding experience and float in a boat over crystal clear waters. The National Park is accompanied only - you'll find the Guides at the Gate just past the Caves. There are Tours you can book from riding local horses, discovering/familiarizing with local fruits, flora and fauna plus visiting a real farm for tea!!! (no Disney here). Turn right adjacent to Kite Beach at the Lights.....drive through the local area and the ECNP is located at the end of the road!

Relaxation +++ - a great beach, seas/sands and restaurants open day and night - most have sofas, chairs, tables etc under umbrellas on the beach/sands - and Night Clubs/Music Venues - restaurant staff happy and willing to take/deliver your orders on the beach. I like Pescado for fresh fish/lobster but everything to find from snacks/italian etc. All with an International feel...... Go into town and you'll find a range of shops and restaurants - popular are the Chinese (No 47 my favorite) and for fine dining Bliss - open evenings and...the name speaks for itself.

Major City offering beaches, shopping and most importantly history - plus the Funicular/Cable Car :-D

The State Capital - the Malecon with restaurants/white beaches, the Colonial Centre, great range of stores from small local shops/markets to major supermarkets, the Historic square with Cathedral, Amber Museum and More......for $10us you can also take the Funicula to tyhe peak of Mt Isabella - stunning views over Puerto Plata and beyond, stroll through Botanical Gardens - a Cave for the adventurous and a Restaurant serving a good range - I like the Curry Goat but they offer loal and international food-with-a-view. Ask me and I can happily arrange a private PP city tour vs a group - see and do what you want/enjoy :-D
