Great place to take children. You can catch your own trout and have them cook it up for you. Or you can just order off the menu. Great to do in conjunction with a visit to Forbidden Caverns.

The Greenbrier Restaurant is a food and spirits outpost located in Gatlenburg. It is an upscale bar and restaurant. They have an extensive wine and whiskey menu. I suggest going to the bar, grab a cocktail and checking the place out. The historic building and view is really cool.

This is an old wedding chapel turned into a cool bar. They host many local breweries with a rotation of beers on tap. It's a beautiful drive through the park and the Abbey right along a river which is fun to explore.

Outdoor Activities
The Cosby enterance to the park is the closest to Rivers Edge Cabin. There are multiple hiking trails, ample parking and a large picnic area. There is also some great swimming holes along the road into the campground that both visitors and locals like to visit on hot days.

One of our favorite places to buy produce. Its really close and totally local. They also carry farm fresh eggs and Amish cheeses and butter. They make fresh apple pies daily and lots of fun canned and pickled food. And, there is an old fashioned candy and fudge shop.
