A quieter walk
Sorrento can be quite noisy and jammed with traffic.
To walk from your apartment, I recommend NOT taking the main road.
Instead, turn left as you leave the main gate, walk down the road, take the ancient little alleys made of volcanic stone, and turn left toward the city centre.
I also recommend this detour for magical viewpoints.

Best seen by boat
The best way to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast is from the sea. Join a boat tour or rent a boat (with friends), make sure to bargain hard on the price!
