My husband and I regularly have breakfast at Gail’s Bakery in Hove. They also sell excellent breads and baked goods. Not the cheapest but the quality shines through. Also good as a coffee stop.

This is around a thirty minute walk from the apartment. Walk down to the seafront and turn right along Hove seafront rather than left towards Brighton. We usually reward ourselves with a coffee when we arrive although there are numerous food options available. Excellent inside and outside seating areas. The internal fires are brilliant on a cold winter day.

Western EsplanadeThis is around a thirty minute walk from the apartment. Walk down to the seafront and turn right along Hove seafront rather than left towards Brighton. We usually reward ourselves with a coffee when we arrive although there are numerous food options available. Excellent inside and outside seating areas. The internal fires are brilliant on a cold winter day.

Recommend the North Laines. Lots of small independent shops, food and drink outlets and market places. Great place to spend an afternoon when in Brighton.

A short car bus or bike ride will take you to Devils Dyke. The views are beautiful and there are a number of walking/biking trails. There is also a pub should you wish to grab a bite to eat or a coffee.

There is also a great play area which is suitable for younger children. Good place to go if you have an hour or so to fill. Our grandchildren ages 3-11 always enjoy going here.
