This beautiful house served as the set of the 1973 film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. These days, they serve an amazing breakfast until 2pm.

If you happen to find yourself in Gruene, the Gristmill is *the* restaurant for dinner. Located in Gruene's historic district on a cliff over the river, the Gristmill has a very Texas atmosphere and is very laid back, cozy and romantic.

My personal addiction. Numinous is a café local to Marble Falls. They roast their coffee right in the dining area. So cool! A great place to visit before or after a trip through the Hill Country or while shopping in Marble Falls.

Marble Falls is one of the many true Texas towns in the Hill Country. Main Street is only about 9 minutes away and is a great little place to grab some lunch and window shop.

This is the grocery store in Horseshoe Bay. It's very close by and has a limited selection, but higher end products. They've got fresh produce, a deli, bulk coffee and candy, etc.

This is a newer winery, but produces some of the best wine in the United States, in my opinion. The views from the winery are amazing, and their snacks are a great complement to their wines.

2585 Park Rd 6026This is a hidden gem. From 2147, turn onto Thanksgiving Mountain Rd and take an immediate right for the trail head. The hike is about 40 minutes round trip. On the way, there are multiple terrains, views of the lake, peaceful walks by the creek, brief side excursions to a church garden and a grotto, and a really beautiful mausoleum at the far end.
