My favourite local places to visit
The Potting Shed is a lovely modern café located in the beautiful surroundings of Insole Court. They serve good, ethical, homemade food and use a lot of their herbs and vegetables grown in the community garden.

A wonderful place to visit steeped in welsh history. There are regular events held here that will please all ages. Lots to do and see. Café available for food and drink. You can enjoy walking around their extensive grounds and viewing the historic buildings. Learn about the historic buildings and their origins from the information alongside each property. Enjoy seeing the farm animals and experiencing nature in the 100-acre parkland, where you can sit and relax.

A wonderful place to visit, fabulous for children as they have a splash pad and play area. they also have a café attached to the park, tennis courts, a basketball court, football area and volley ball. Lots of seating and green space.

A lovely park, plenty of green space, great for walkers looking to explore local history as it links up with Bute Park and Sophia Gardens. A nice play area for children to enjoy.

The Bone Yard has everything, from a Succulent Emporium, handmade jewellery studios, pottery making classes, upcycled furniture, to good food and drink.
They also host regular craft classes, so why not attend one and learn a new skill?
Well worth a visit, always something going on, plus, it's a short walk away.

Great public transport links at the end of the road.
Waungron Train Station is at the end of the road, on Waungron Road, which will take you into the centre of Cardiff. Bus stop opposite the train station which will also take you into the centre of Cardiff via Canton, a local shopping centre, which also has plenty of cafe's restaurants and pubs.
