Walking distance from the house. Great coffee shop but also an independent roaster offering varietals from Africa, the Pacifica Rim, and Latin America. Consider buying a bag or two to take home. They also sell fruit smoothies and packaged snacks. Used to be a bank and there is seating in the old bank vault. Large indoor space. Outdoor tables too.

10-minute drive from the house. One of my favorite places in St. Louis and a must-see for families visiting the city!! It's hard to describe how amazing this place is. Truly an explosion of creativity and a blast for kids and adults. Wear comfy clothes, good shoes, and plan to be there for a few hours to take it all in.

City Museum

Truly an explosion of creativity and a blast for kids and adults. Wear comfy clothes, good shoes, and plan to be there for a few hours to take it all in.
Less than a 10-minute drive from the house. The museum under the Arch just opened July 2018 and is fantastic. Shopping, dining, and riverboats are all open but the tram to the top of the Arch is closed due to the pandemic.
