There is a long wood boardwalk that hugs the cliff overlooking the ocean with wonderful beaches too. My kids love the beach at the south end because the sand is actually little, smooth stones which is so fun to sit and dig through "searching for jewels and treasures".

Our family favorite! Right across the street from the beach in Cayucos with an outside eating area... a typical order that we all end up sharing usually includes: Morro Melt, Weirdo, Carne Asada Tacos, and a couple smoothies.

Best vegan restaurant in the area and it’s in Morro Bay! They also have a great grocery store (Sunshine Health Food) and a supplement store next door.

Great local vibes with tasty food and drink options. This is halfway between Atascadero and Morro Bay on Hwy 41. Big grassy area outside for kiddos to run around, bocce ball, occasional live music. Whatever we order we ALWAYS include two orders of the cauliflower... so yummy!
