you could rent a bike for a couple of hours and head west along the seafront. stop at gelateria Moroccos and some cheese at the cheese hut by the lagoon. And some smoked salmon at fish!

maybe Im biased because i spend my summers in Greece but this is a really nice bakery in seven dials. its a 15 minute walk from the flat. Try their spanakopita (spinach, mix herbs and cheese pie) and you will realise the walk up the hill was totally worth it. From seven dials you can walk down towards preston park. If you want to catch a film try the picture house near london road

Cycling along the seafront
A cool half day activity is to have breakfast at the flour pot bakery on the seafront and rent a bicycle afterwards
Head west towards Shoreham. Shoreham's shingle beach is very pretty if you like wildlife as it has very rare coastal vegetation.
On the way back you can stop by hove lagoon, there you will find the cheese hut which has amazing sheep cheeses from sussex and also our fisherman's cooperative where you can find the best seafood Brighton has to offer.
Also you will go past Marrocco's a very nice gelateria run by friendly italians.
