Korundi is both Rovaniemi Art Museum with one of the best modern art collections in Finland, and the home base of internationally known Lapland Chamber Orchestra. Korundi is worth a visit because of the architecture alone - it is Juhani Pallasmaa's master piece. The museum shop is worth a visit too. And you should check the exhibition and concert programme when in town :)

The Science Centre Pilke exhibition offers you the opportunity to really explore the forest - test your knowledge, play games etc. Good for adults, perfect for kids. Pilke also has the best design shop in town.

The public library in Rovaniemi is one of the most magnificient pieces of Alvar Aalto's architecture in Finland, and a must to pay a visit when you're in town. Open Mon-Thu 9-20, Fri 9-18, Sat-Sun closed. Check separately for public holidays.
The City Hall and Lappia House, the Rovaniemi Theatre next to the library are also worth a visit, both Alvar Aalto architecture.
