The museum has some interesting fact about Haliburton. It is very close to the Sculpture Garden, and the Nordic Trails which are wonderful for hiking on in the summer.

Nice place to wander around and enjoy the sights. Close to library, shops and art gallery.
Head Lake is in Haliburton. It has a beach, boat launch and a lovely board walk. Events are held here including the Tuesday Farmer's market.

Gorgeous falls and rapids. Nice place for a bike ride, picnic or swim.
This is a lovely place to visit. It is a favourite place for artists, walkers and cyclists. There is a swimming location and rocks for a picnic.

Algonguin Park is a beautiful park with canoeing, hiking, biking, visitor centre (with art gallery and spectacular view), swimming and birding. It is just over an hour drive to get to the main gate on hwy 60. The drive is lovely and goes through the scenic town of Dorset.
