Great state park beach. We like the northern most beach. There is also a nice kayak rental place on the Dunedin Causeway which is on the way to Honeymoon Island. You could rent kayaks and kayak to the southern end of Honeymoon Island or over to the backside or northern side of Caladesi.

Clearwater Beach has beautiful soft sand. This beach is more of a tourist destination and therefore a bit more busy than Honeymoon. Clearwater Beach also has restaurants, bars, and shops along the strip.
