Genuinely our favorite local brewery... amazing that it is in our neighborhood and within walking distance! Very casual, but popular space. Limited menu but amazing pretzels and some sandwiches. A lot of fun for a couple or a group. Even some kids toys in the outdoor seating. Board games, darts, giant jenga, etc. The bartenders are super knowledgeable and excited to share their beer knowledge. $5 pints and $2.50 half pints so easy to try all their brews. They don't stay open late.

Amazing bbq. Not the most beautiful of locations, but a great patio if the weather is nice. They smoke everything in house out back. Good drink selection too.

Great lunch spot (works for dinner too). All vegetarian, but meat eaters won't be disappointed). Good for a quick bite. Serves limited (but good) selection of craft beer and I believe wine.

Fantastic Ethiopian food. We recommend getting a platter or two depending on your party size so you can try several of their amazing dishes at once. So so good. One of our personal favorites by far.

I think pretty indisputably the best Vietnamese food in St. Louis. Definitely a hole in the wall spot in all the best senses of the word.

Really really good gelato. Highly recommend. Espresso bar as well. Has a nice historic vibe to it.

Come here after playing at the city museum for some shakes at the classic old soda fountain. There are plenty of adult shakes as well. Good food as well if you need dinner (but Small Batch near by is where to go for nicer dining... and whiskey)

Amazing whiskey selection and high quality vegetarian fare. A true spot where a meat eater won't even realize they didn't have a meat option available. So so so good. FYI the acoustics are not great so it can get a little loud.

Free zoo!!! And a great one at that. Don't be afraid to try to find free parking if you are on a budget... it definitely exists if you are okay walking a little.

Beautiful park you can walk to. Really nice playground and fountain the kids can play in (right near the main traffic circle in the center of the park... you will see it). Farmers market on Sat mornings Spring into Fall.

This park is one of the largest city parks in the country. Larger even than Central Park in NY. During the summer months, they have festivals, outside Shakespeare performances by a local Shakespearan acting group, and "Movies in the Park" on friday nights. Check out the parks facebook page to learn more about the events.
