Great place to spend the day with the family - especially in the warmer months. Mackinaw City is 67 Miles away from the house - approximately an hour drive give or take with traffic. Historical site and fun for the whole family.

I encourage all animal specifically ( elk ) lovers to swing by the lodge park and see these beautiful animals. Unless you are a member of the Elks Club you won't be able to dine or drink - However the Wide open field usually filled with Michigan Elk will entertain the whole family. ** take a few carrots with you and if there are some near enough to the fence they might come snack and say "hi" **

We used to go to the beaches and search for Petoskey stones!! There is the historic Gaslight district, the state park, the Little Traverse Wheelway, and the Bear Valley Recreational area will also fill your day trip with lots to do and see.

We are in the GOLF MECCA of Northern Michigan!!! We are stones throw from a handful of the Michaywe courses, go hit em' straight and then come back to the house to enjoy lake life!
